What's growing on March 31st?

Strawberries. They're coming up through the pine needles I mulched them with in the fall. I even have about 3 flowers already!


Garlic. This was planted about the first week of November. I was a little later than usual last year as normally I plant it about the middle of October. I was concerned that it wouldn't do as well, but so far it looks fabulous! I expect to harvest the crop in June.

I think I'm really going to like the new framing we did for the sugar snap/snow peas. I love when I can find efficient ways of gardening. One must use all the space one can. The peas are coming up along the bottom line of the X and the broccoli or cabbage (depending on which block it is) are in the triangle sections.
