I was cleaning out some shelving and general untidiness around our school shelves and found some world maps. Tigger was right there. "Oooo, what's that Mommy?" I gave it to him and told him he could color it if he wanted. Then, of course, Pooh came for his.
Here's what they've done so far:
They are talking about some of the countries as they're coloring. "Mommy, which one is Nicaragua where Daddy was born?" It gets colored. Tigger did Africa first without realizing it and then was *very* happy when he was told that he had colored all of Africa. Pooh went continent by continent.
They even went to their maps after watching The Amazing Race this past Sunday. (We seriously love that show!) This week they were in Thailand and so the boys discovered a new country.
Little things sure can mean a lot.

I really like this. I'm going to figure out how I can get my hands on some of these. I like that they are big, so that I can get all the kids involved.
You wanna know the truth? I would love to homeschool using ambleside and Charlotte Mason but we have mandatory state testing here in and Tink would never make it. I love your way of schooling and would choose it in a heartbeat! :)
Hey, there! I found you via Mrs. Darling @ Dishpan Dribble and just wanted to say hello. I'll enjoy looking around your blog. God bless you and enjoy your day!
